More on Carnes Hill
Carnes Hill is a masterplanned residential suburb in the City of Liverpool, located about 38 kilometres west of the Sydney CBD. The suburb sits within the South West Sydney growth corridor and is bordered by West Hoxton, Horningsea Park, Edmondson Park, and Hoxton Park.
Most of the homes in Carnes Hill were built from 2010 onwards as part of a planned residential release. The housing stock is almost entirely detached family homes on well-sized blocks, with an average of four bedrooms per dwelling. The population grew by over 60 per cent between 2016 and 2021, reaching around 3,300 residents, and the predominant age group is 0 to 9 years. Households are primarily couples with children, making Carnes Hill one of the youngest, most family-heavy suburbs in the Liverpool area.
The Carnes Hill Marketplace is the local shopping hub, with Woolworths, Aldi, Big W, medical services, cafes, and specialty stores. For larger retail and entertainment, Liverpool Westfield and Ed Square are both nearby. The suburb has good road access via Cowpasture Road and the M7 motorway, with Leppington and Edmondson Park train stations providing rail connections to the CBD. The Michael Clarke Recreation Centre and Schoeffel Park give families outdoor and sporting options within the suburb itself.
With a housing stock that is uniformly modern and families settling into their homes, Carnes Hill is a suburb where bathroom, kitchen, and living area upgrades are happening at a steady pace, and where glass products need to be durable, safe, and suited to busy family households.
